I couldn’t be happier with the incredible work Rob at The Upholstery Man has done on my 1971 VW Baywindow camper van. He reupholstered both the front bench seat and the wraparound rear seat (which folds out into a bed) in stunning fireproof red material — and the result is absolutely perfect. The craftsmanship is flawless, the attention to detail is second to none, and the seats look and feel better than new. Rob clearly takes pride in his work, and it shows in every stitch. If you want top-quality upholstery with a professional finish, I can’t recommend him highly enough.

look no further, Rob has done an amazing job on the king and queen seats on my motorcycle, to begin we had a consultation outlining my requirements. we agreed on a price, and a completion date
the custom design we agreed on is a 100% improvement on the old worn out/split & uncomfortable original suzuki seats,

I was recommended the services of The Upholstery Man (i.e. Rob) by a friend who lives in Eastbourne, East Sussex. Therefore, I travelled up to Wigan, Lancashire, to honour an appointment with Rob.

I was so impressed by Rob's depth of knowledge about different types of materials/fabrics, his quick and efficient techniques in sewing/stitching and his communication with me in explaining how he had repaired my seat cover. All this in 15 minutes!

An excellent level of service was provided by Rob, and I would highly recommend him to anyone who seeking repairs to upholstery.

I contacted Rob as I had a mishap with oven cleaner that was in a shopping bag leaking all over my leather seats in my car and melting it….I was devastated as id only had the car a couple of weeks. I contacted Rob who told me to bring over the car, he matched the leather straight away, he even went as far to watch videos on how to get the seat out to be able to reupholster the panel for me. Rob expertly re-sculpted the seat of my Ducati V4S, taking out excess foam and re-fitting the original cover. The seat now not only looks better than the original shape but I can also get my feet down better (short legs, previously high seat height). All for £40!

Rob is a real craftsman, his expertise has been invaluable, advising on the best materials and colours and style of fit.
From the beginning he gave us realistic timescales and price estimates, and gave us a clear indication of when to bring the chairs.
As for the work itself we couldn't be more pleased, the material used is excellent, the colour exactly as expected, the stitching and fit is absolutely top notch, can't recommend his work highly enough.

Five star review for a five star company… very helpful, very honest…. My dogs had decided they liked the corners of a leather back cushion… I thought all was lost and my beautiful piece of furniture would have to be scrapped. No! With the amazing help from The Upholstery Man my chair is saved. He recommended where I could source my leather, met me at his unit, said he could sort my repair quite quickly and lo and behold within 72 hours it was completed. I’m chuffed as anything… highly recommend The Upholstery Guy! He’s even told me where to source my inner cushion from to finish the job. This will be done in the new year. A pleasure dealing with Rob. He’s been amazing in organising the job of re-covering some leather cushions that were heavily scratched/cracked and ripped with use over 12 years! From first contact, to picking a leather, and arranging the work, it’s been a pleasure using the Upholstery man and wouldn’t hesitate to use again. Highly recommended

I can’t recommend The Upholstery Man enough. We had a 10 year old TV bed that was structurally sound but was looking very worn due to the faux leather cover cracking. Rob came to the house with material samples and quoted there and then. We received the bed back in 6 days with a flammability report on the material. The workmanship is amazing and looks better than it did when it was new. We will definitely be using his services again on other projects. A really nice guy and a pleasure to do business with. Thanks again Rob 10/10.

From first contact Rob always responded to messages promptly. He gave me a competitive quote and after giving me a link for a good selection of fabrics, I was able to either source the fabric myself or Rob would have ordered it for me.

One word - Fantastic!

A pleasure to deal with from start to finish, Rob did some automotive trimming for me and I couldn't be happier. Quality was superb, communication was excellent, turnaround was fast and he even double made one item just to give me a couple of options (pictures to follow once refitted to the car)

If you need upholstery done or retrimming on a vehicle then talk to Rob, can't recommend him enough. I'll definitely be taking my next project to him 👍🏻

I found Rob just by searching on google. I told Rob what I needed doing, after my first visit with Rob he made sure the colour of the material for my car rear seat was a match. Communication was spot on. Rob promptly set to work. Rob contacted me to say it was all done. I couldn’t believe how spot on and neat it was you could not tell part of the seat had been replaced . Excellent work Rob 😊 I would certainly recommend Rob to anyone.

Very pleased with the re-upholstery of my six dining room chairs. Rob was very quick to reply to my email, give an estimate of cost and drop sample materials off. My chair was in quite a state but really sentimental as it belonged to my Dad . It had been sat in a dirty garage for a long time but after Rob took it under his wing to renovate it, it came back to life . The old dirty brown frame was chalk painted grey and the seat upholstered in a beautiful cream boucle . The workmanship and attention to detail is second to non . The character is still there but the chair has been brought up to date and looks beautiful in its position in my room . I highly recommend The Upholstery Man and his expertise. Thank you Rob

Contacted Rob at the last minute bought a kawasaki versey 650 previously had a triumph tiger 800 low. Rob contacted me back the same night and advised i could drop of the seat the next morning. He advised on what he was going to do and how i could save on cost? To say overall the service has been absolutely great first class my seat was ready the same day but Rob did advise it could take up to 2 depending on what i wanted. Great service fast efficient and no hidden costs you get what you ask for thanks Rob for taking 5cm of my seat my balls of my feet can now touch the floor.

Excellent service and would definitely recommend.
So pleased with my dining chairs. Messaged Rob and he messaged back promptly. He arranged to bring some samples and look at the chairs I wanted re-upholstered. I chose the fabric which he ordered then came to pick up the seats and brought back completed. All in 3 days from beginning to finish.
